Laos Reconnaissance Trip
October, 2009
In October Mandy and I met in Laos on my way home from China & Tibet to check out a possible new trip route. We had a very cool time researching - which involved lots of riding, shopping in the local markets, sight seeing, testing out different restaurants, finding funky places ot stay, and without our two year old - sleeping in and afternoon siestas! We started in the Luang Prabang region and were immediately impressed with the quiet roads and incredibly relaxed drivers. Geographically Laos is hilly; and with the lovely tropical temperatures, lush forests, laid back people, history, culture and friendly hospitality - we have come up with a plan for an exciting new trip - which we are planning to lead for the first time in November 2010.
