4 Day Weekend Escapes are a great excuse to escape from the city and enjoy 4 days of wonderfully scenic riding in stunning Golden Bay.

Our Golden Bay Weekend Escape is achievable by anyone with a reasonable level of fitness and some experience riding on unpaved surfaces. With a focus on the stunning scenery and landscapes, great food, fine wine and of course fantastic riding - we ride on a variety of paved roads, gravel roads and farm tracks.

We finish each day in our pick of the region's guesthouses and lodges with the ever-present hot showers, cold beers, local wines and food and at times quirky restaurants!

WHAT IS THE BIKING LIKE?

4 days adventure biking - paved roads, gravel roads and farm tracks.
Suitable for anyone with a reasonable level of fitness and some experience riding on unpaved surfaces.
From 35km to 60km per day. Total distance approximately 150km.
Hybrid Bike or Mountain Bike with smooth running tyres.

THE BASIC LO-DOWN

We travel in a loop at the north of the South Island, from Nelson out to Golden Bay and return.
Vehicle supported. Our trusty support vehicle carries all your luggage, lunch, snacks and transfers us between rides.
Accommodation is twin share - 3 nights in a local guesthouse.
Food includes breakfasts and lunches from lunch on day 1 to lunch on day 4; evening meals are at your own cost at local cafes and restaurants so that you can experience some of Golden Bay's local cuisine of your own choosing.
Group size minimum 4, maximum 8 plus Escape leaders.

Single supplement - NZ$ 195.
Bike hire if required - NZ$150.

Price Includes: 3 nights accommodation on a twin share basis, 3 breakfasts and 4 lunches, Escape bike guides/drivers, support vehicle and trailer to carry your all luggage, all land and water transfers for the duration of the tour.
Prices do not include: airfares, visas, airport taxes, optional activities, evening meals, and personal equipment (bikes etc).
